Human Synergistics International helps organizations enhance their effectiveness through a focus on culture change, leadership development, and team building.
Bringing Cultural Change…
At Human Synergistics International, “culture” is defined in the organizational context as being the shared norms and expectations that govern the way people approach their work and interact with each other.
Human Synergistics developed the How Culture Works model in 1997. This identifies a total of 31 causal factors (organized into five categories) that are responsible for shaping culture and helping an organization move from its Current Culture to its preferred or Ideal Culture. More details about the model…
Human Synergistics® Circumplex model
The Human Synergistics International Circumplex provides a way to “see,” measure, and change the thinking and behavioral styles.
The Human Synergistics International Circumplex provides a way to “see,” measure, and change the thinking and behavioral styles proven to drive the performance of not only individuals, but also groups and organizations. It breaks down the factors underlying effectiveness into 12 specific styles that are grouped into three general clusters and arranged in a circular manner based on their similarity:
- Constructive – “Blue styles”
- Passive/Defensive – “Green styles”
- Aggressive/Defensive – “Red styles”
The Constructive styles are highly effective and promote individual, group, and organizational performance. In contrast, the Aggressive/Defensive styles have an inconsistent and potentially negative impact on performance, and the Passive/Defensive styles consistently detract from overall effectiveness. The styles describe what’s happening and what’s expected in organizations and, given their impact on performance, provide a direction for change and development.
