ISO 20000 Foundation
This ISO/IEC 20000 (ISO 20000) course provides the delegates with a good understanding of Quality Management within the context of ISO/IEC 20000, the international standard for IT service management, more commonly known as ISO 20000. This accredited course also prepares delegates for the industry-recognised ISO 20000 Foundation Certificate.
Purpose
The Foundation is the entry level of the ISO/IEC 20000 examinations.
The purpose of the Foundation level is to confirm that the candidate has good/basic knowledge of the contents and requirements of the ISO/IEC 20000 standard and understands how the standard operates in a typical IT service provider organization.
The Foundation meets the pre-requisite for entry to the Practitioner certification.

The topics of the Foundation course include:
- Core concepts of Service Management and quality frameworks
- The Service Management System (SMS) and the value and application of the PDCA cycle
- High-level concepts around service design and transition
- Objectives, activities and quality requirements of the service management process
